Hey yall!

In case you didn't already know, we have the best big brother in the world... Jon came out to surprise us and visit friends in Seward :) Jon lead devotions for the football team, took Amy and I to the Nebraska vs. Northwestern game at UNL, and even though the huskers lost we had the best time! GBR!

Here's a picture of me and my roomie Rachel. We dressed up for Halloween when little kiddos from Seward came trick-or-treating in our dorm :) I was attempting to be a brunette Cinderella and Rachel was tigger!

We enjoyed coming home for Thanksgiving Break... My FYS teacher was right. It did feel a little weird staying in a room where all your favorite things are no longer there (they are back at school in the dorm!) and we did miss our friends terribly. Also, just when we were adjusted to being back in Cali, it was time to head back to Seward. But while we were home we enjoyed every minute of it... snuggling with Jesse, shopping with Mom and Jen, Dad's cinnamon rolls, thanksgiving dinner with the whole family, seeing Matt, Katie, and CJ at the teacher's convention in LB, and spending time with friends!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... here is my decorated dorm. We hung lights on our windows and beds and Mom gave us advent garland bags with a gift in each bag up until Christmas Day :) Mom gave our friends the advent bags too and they always look forward to opening it each day... thanks mom!

On Saturday, the day of Christmas Concerts, we had our first snow! It is so beautiful :) You can see how much snow accumulated in just a couple hours...

I tweaked my ankle playing basketball with friends but thanks to the snow, I am able to make homemade ice packs haha :)

Anna here!

I had my first classroom observation a couple of weeks ago... I observed a 12th grade english class at Seward High.
This was one of the signs posted outside of Seward High's Football stadium... that's a first haha

This is the Seward Cemetery. I had a chance to explore more of Seward on my walk back to CU after my observation.

It is very beautiful and very quiet...

This is Faith Lutheran Church in Seward... I also walked by here on my way back to CU. It's nice knowing where things are :)

As most of you have probably heard, Mrs. Fast (the mother of one of our basketball teammates from High School) was shot and died in the Seal Beach massacre. Our prayers are with Laura and Lisa's family.

Thanks to Mallory and Scott's wonderful care package, Amy and I were able to make sugar cookies, October pumpkin style... yum! It was just the kind of snack we needed during our late study sesh with Theo and Brittany.
For Fall Break, Molly's family invited Amy, Brittany, and I to stay at their cabin on the lake in Madison, SD. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable weekend! Molly's family always makes us feel like family and we are so blessed to know them! Amy, Deets (Molly's cousin), and I taught Brittany and Molly how to play pitch and now we love playing that with our friends!

Amy and Brittany are proudly holding up our Starbucks drinks! We finally got our Starbucks fix at a Hy-vee in South Dakota on our way back from Fall Break at Molly's Cabin :)

Here's Amy and I getting our flag football on! Go Northeast Pit PANTHERS! We actually just finished our season 3-4. We had a good run and some awesome coaches: Theo, Adam, and Armani. So many good times! Now we are getting ready for intramural volleyball. This weekend we are making team shirts! :)

Amy and Brittany supporting our bulldogs at last Saturday's game against Nebraska Wesleyan!!

the buds: Scott, Anna, and Amy :-)

the parents: Gary, Carol, and Tom

G&C: Gary and Carol? or Granite City? ;-)

We were so excited that the family came out to visit us last weekend. We had the best time... pizza on Friday, breakfast, a tour, football, and coffee on Saturday, dinner at Granite City, church and shopping on Sunday... Wish you could've been here longer, but we are so glad you got to meet our friends and they (and especially us) loved having you out here!

Thanks for coming to visit us, Tom and Scott! We had the best time with you guys!

Dig Pink Breast Cancer Night at the CUNE volleyball game... we wear PINK for our aunts! <3 Love you Lonnie, Lori, and Jeanne!

I am reading this book in my Freshman Seminar Class and I absolutely love it... just thought I'd share that with ya :)

Good friend Kip Holasek passed away this week... Amy and I are so sad that we couldn't attend his funeral back home in California, but we rejoice that he is at home in heaven with Jesus. And as Jon said, "he's probably sharing an orange pop with Bernice right now!" We'll miss you Kip... Love you!

I had to put this picture in because I'm missing my friends from back home! Love you Mal, Andrew, Scott, and Austin! Bon fire ASAP!

I'm missing this little cutie pie too... go ask Mom for an ear rub, Jess!

MISS YOU SO MUCH Bowman, Melissa, Katie, Aaron, Dan, Alicia, and Eric! We'll be home in 21 days! See you soon!
Fall has set in... the temperature is way down, usually between the 30s and 50s everyday and the trees are golden and red... so beautiful. I hear that snow is on the way... possibly even as soon as next week! ahh!!!

Maureen and Papa Jim sent us these amazing halloween cookies last Friday... thank you so much; they were delicious!
